A few weeks ago our friend, Jacob Montague (Uncle Jacob), text us a picture of the interworking’s of a old-fashioned music box with a microphone rigged to it. He told us he was working on a lullaby album inspired by a music box-making kit he acquired. Jacob is a musical wizard/overall genius, so I couldn’t wait to hear what he was creating. There was a follow up text a few days later with a picture of the album artwork, designed by mutual friend, Tyler Nagayama. The album was titled, “Music Box: Songs for Nora”. When Tyler and I saw our daughter’s name, we were absolutely overcome by this gift of love from our dear friend. As we listened, we were brought to tears and swept away by the bright and beautiful melodies. Music reaches and heals in ways we don’t always know or even understand. It has the power to bring fresh inspiration when we are close to despair, and it can bring peace when our world feels upside-down. And Jacob, you have done this for us, you have brought us these things. Thank you dear friend for this gift of hope and peace, your songs will always be cherished in our home.

Thank you, Jesse, for sending such wonderful writings. I so enjoy hearing about Nora, Tyler and you. I was so pleased to have Nora as a luncheon “buddy” at the Tea with Grace. She is just precious. I can’t think of any people I admire more than you and Tyler. I know this situation is challening but Nora is in the care of such a loving family.

Blessings to all of you, Leanne Page

So beautiful. I played it for grandma Barb, she fell asleep to it, truly lovely music. Congratulations Jacob.
