Thank you for joining us for Grace and Nora’s World! We hope you enjoy this special video, but first, a word from Becky Dean (Amazing Grace School of Performing Arts, Grace’s Mom) with Jesse Van Leeuwen:

The stage, the music, and the dancing, is a world Nora and Grace have created. Grace isn’t  trying to live in Nora’s world and Nora isn’t being asked to live in Grace’s world.

It is a place that is set apart. Away from what society and culture tell them, away from the identity of typically-developing and non-typically developing. Away from a place where the chair is seen as an obstacle. In their world the chair is a platform for expression, allowing for things a body can’t do. Their world is a place where nonverbal communication is ideal and fragility is another form of beauty and connection. Their world is a place where they can just be themselves. Together.

Today we invite you to Grace and Nora’s world. We invite you to spread the word that the world is changing and full of possibility.

Grace and Nora. Oh my word. These girls emote so much that is right and is beautiful – from the Lord. A gift of grace from Grace to Nora. God bless you all, the girls, the moms, the school, the photographers and filmmakers for capturing and sharing this heartwarming story.

Be still my heart… these girls take us out of ourselves and open our minds to all that is possible within ourselves.

I just viewed the dance by Grace and Nora. I am so moved by it, and by the music, but especially by how Nora responds to Grace, who danced so beautifully and engaged Nora. I have been brought to tears. Thank you so much for sharing this outstanding video, and to all the participants. The direction was suburb. Please continue to dance, Grace and NORA.
